Richard Manwaring has been in practice since 1997 with emphasis in family law and estate planning. Richard has served as a Pro Tem Judge for the Family Court for the past 13 years and is qualified to set as a Temporary Judge in both Juvenile Dependency and Juvenile Delinquency Courts.
Richard has written many articles on a wide array of legal topics and authored the book Estate Planning 101, A Primer. His book contains practical and understandable answers to many estate planning questions. Richard has taught law courses at various universities and has served as both an Academic Dean and a Director of Legal Studies Department.
Richard is retired from the Marine Corps and keeps active in a number of fraternal organizations associated with the military. He is often appointed by the court to serve as an attorney under the Service Members Civil Relief Act. Because of his knowledge of military matters, such as military pay and allowances, retirement, and the Service Members Civil Relief Act, he is often called on by peer attorneys for advice on these matters.
Richard is a member of both the California Bar Association and the North County Bar Association.
